Pass recharging

The first 10,000 passes are free, but after that, the card issuance fee is Rs. 150 with an annual fee of Rs. 75. You can recharge your pass at Pune metro station counters, digital kiosks at metro stations, or online through the 'One Pune Card' customer portal.

Ticket validity

A return journey ticket is valid for the entire day. After purchasing a ticket, a commuter has 20 minutes to enter the departure station, and 90 minutes to exit at the destination station

Fare

The metro fares vary between ₹10 and ₹35, depending on the distance. For example, the fare from PCMC to Vanaz is ₹35, and the fare from PCMC to Ruby Hall Clinic is ₹30.

Lines

Two lines of the Pune metro are operational: the Purple Line and the Aqua Line.

Alcohol

Consumption of alcohol, intoxicating items, and smoking is strictly prohibited inside Maha Metro station premises.

Baggage

Bags in the form of bundles are not allowed on metro trains. The weight limit for baggage is 25 kg.

What is the cost of a metro ticket for students in Pune?

The Pune Metro has a "One Pune Vidyarthi Pass" for students. The pass has a one-time fee of ₹150 and an annual fee of ₹75. When loading or topping up the card, there's a fee of 1.8% of the recharge value, not exceeding ₹12. Students also get a 30% discount on ticket fares on Saturdays and Sundays. For example, the ticket fare for a journey between Vanaz and Ruby Hall Clinic is ₹25, while the ticket fare between Civil Court and Pimpri Chinchwad Metro Station is ₹20.

What is the timing of Pune Metro?

The Pune Metro has different operating hours for different routes: PCMC to Phugewadi and Vanaz to Garware College: 8 AM to 9 PM, 13 hours Purple Line: 6 AM to 10 PM, 16 hours The Pune Metro is available every 30 minutes. The normal timings of metro services in Pune are 6 AM to 10 PM every day. The Pune Metro station is operational from 8 AM to 9 PM.
